Adding SG Smart Gateway will enable you to integrate your Smart lighting solution with the most common smart platforms, thereby giving you access to even more smart functions. Via Matter, Google’s Home Assistant, Apple’s Home Kit or Amazon’s Alexa, the buttons can be used for functions other than just lighting. For example, they can communicate with Velux to open windows, control blinds, roller blinds and awnings using the Somfy control system. Forget about remote controls getting lost or running out of battery: just use the discreet switches already installed in the house. Instead of cluttering the table or windowsill with remotes, you can now create the right environment for watching TV with a single touch of a button by the living room door. For example, automatically close the curtains to remove glare on the screen, adjust the light to a pleasant ambience and turn on the TV and sound system. Then just sit back and enjoy your favourite series or programme. Or you can have a button in the bedroom that, with a single touch, activates the “night scenario” and ensures all lights in the house are off, the roller blinds are down and the TV is off. A “morning scenario” can be created that turns on the light at a low and sleepy level from the bedroom to the bathroom and further into the kitchen where the automatic coffeemaker is already brewing the first cup of coffee. There’s also a Geolocation option which automatically ensures that all lights are off when no one is home, or turns on the lights in the driveway when you get home after dark.
